Erik Berglund
About
Mr. Berglund focuses his practice on general and complex commercial litigation for corporate clients, ranging from start-ups to the largest companies in their respective industries. He also advises clients regarding transactional and risk management practices. He has successfully argued matters at the trial and appellate level in state and federal courts throughout New York and New Jersey.
Mr. Berglund represents clients in a wide variety of substantive litigation, including real estate, merchandising, licensing, insurance, brokerage, construction, environmental, entertainment, employment, bankruptcy, family, personal injury and even mass tort litigation. He has prevailed in numerous trials and motions for summary judgment in multi-million dollar litigation.
Mr. Berglund has also advised clients in connection with a broad range of business transactions, including commercial operating agreements, purchase and sale agreements, commercial real estate leases, licensing agreements, dissolution agreements, restrictive covenants and employment contracts.
Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Berglund practiced at an Am Law 200 firm. He attended The George Washington University Law School on merit scholarship, and graduated in 2004 with honors in legal research and writing. He was recognized on the Dean's List and graduated from Binghamton University with a B.A. in Philosophy, Politics and Law in 2001.
