Sera U. Hwang is an experienced business lawyer who focuses her practice on general and complex civil litigation, real estate, intellectual property, employment matters, and business transactions (including contracts, corporate governance, and compliance). Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Hwang practiced corporate litigation at an Am Law 200 law firm and worked on employment matters for the government. In addition to her legal experience, Ms. Hwang co-founded a successful pharmaceutical manufacturing company with the former head of the MIT chemistry department. She also externed for the Honorable Geradine Mund, a federal bankruptcy judge.
Ms. Hwang received her B.S. from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and her J.D. from UCLA School of Law, where she was on the UCLA Law Review and co-editor-in-chief of the Asian Pacific American Law Journal. Ms. Hwang is a member of the Bars of the States of New York and New Jersey and is also admitted to practice in the United States District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York.
